Several updates to @netmundialmap

25 February 2016

We are delighted to announce several updates to the NETmundial Solutions Map (Beta) based upon what we learned and heard from the first batch of users and contributors –  following our beta release last year.
The Map is the first crowdsourced Internet Governance platform where you can share and access information about internet governance, connecting issues, actors, responses, and resources with each other.
This interactive tool is designed to drive breakthrough analysis, global collaboration, governance innovation, and improved decision making.
To improve navigation and find or share information better the NETmundial Solutions Map site now features:

  • A reorganized home page, designed to introduce the map to new visitors and provide greater information about Map content.
  • Those accessing the homepage can now navigate directly to issues, actors, solutions, and resources.
  • A search function within the header, allowing users to search the Map throughout the site.
  • Object landing pages have been redesigned to provide a richer display of object descriptions, make it easier to share pages on social media, and facilitate updates by contributors.
  • Finally, to improve sharing of information the pages for contributors to add and edit information have been streamlined to make contributions to the Map faster and more intuitive.

We hope you will enjoy these new features and looking forward to your input on how we can improve the experience and value of the map.
In the meantime we encourage you to use the revised @netmundialmap and share your expertise #Onthemap!
