Data Collaboratives and the 70th United Nations General Assembly meeting

25 September 2015

Next week, from September 25-27, about 150 world leaders will attend the UN Sustainable Development Summit in New York to formally adopt an ambitious new sustainable development agenda – in the wake of the 70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
An important focus area of the Summit involves the use of data for achieving sustainable development. Several events are scheduled to examine and showcase how data can be leveraged to improve people’s lives. Through our work on responsible data use and data collaboratives, The GovLab, Leiden University’s Centre for Innovation and other partners will participate at a number of UNGA-events, listed below. We intend to report back on what we learned and would be eager to meet you in person if you are planning on being there as well.
